TRAINING

There is a growing need for credible and structured training programmes to build a skilled geriatric workforce—home nursing aides, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, doctors, and other healthcare professionals—equipped to address the complex needs of older persons and their caregivers.

In response, the Centre:

• Will initiate a Healthcare Assistant Training Programme in February 2026, focused on preparing skilled, competent, and compassionate nursing assistants for elder care.

Further training programmes for various categories of elder-care professionals are planned.
