JOHNITE MUSIC CLUB
St. John’s has always been known for its musical prowess, and clean sweeps at inter-collegiate fests. The musical potential, both incoming and existing, is immense. Having a music club helps us nurture this potential and talent, and channel it in a way where there is a great musical ecosystem in the institution.
As we return to the offline world, it is imperative that we bring back the drive to encourage and enhance musical talent in John’s. We plan to do so by conducting workshops for vocals, instruments and even percussion. But we must also carry forward with us the benefits of an online presence. We plan on re-establishing our social media presence by regularly updating our pages with submissions from both students and staff both on a regular basis and on festivals/ important occasions, and encouraging participation in online competitions organised by us.
Now that inter- collegiate fests are round the corner, we plan on sending a talented team to each test to bring back laurels to John’s, and carry forward the legacy of this institution.
Activities
• Beatboxing workshop
• Vocals workshop
• Instruments workshops- guitar, keyboard, violin
