“Silent Signals: miRNAs as Early Novel Predictors of Cardiovascular Disease Risk in Metabolic Syndrome"
Project Description
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of morbidity and mortality among patients with MetS worldwide, despite advancements in diagnostics and therapeutics. Early detection and risk prediction are essential to reduce the global burden of CVD. However, current clinical biomarkers such as troponins, natriuretic peptides, and lipid profiles often lack the sensitivity or specificity needed for early diagnosis and accurate risk stratification. This underscores the urgent need for novel, reliable, and non-invasive biomarkers.
