Interactive journal club : experiences, perceptions, and narratives in Indian medical post-graduate education
Project Description
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the faculty perceptions of the IJC format in our centre for
postgraduate training in an MD anatomy programme in India. The IJC appears to be a useful and fun tool in postgraduate training promoting active learning, enhancing critical appraisal skills and encouraging educational impact and ownership. Although time consuming initially, subsequent exposure and familiarity may improve the time taken for the journal club proceedings. Not all article types are suitable for an IJC, as articles with large data sets or pertaining to specialized fields may lower the quality of the IJC discussion.
