Impact of a Novel, Customized and Structured Exercise Prescription for Cardiometabolic Diseases in India: A Mixed-Methods Study and Randomized Controlled Trial.
Project Description
n India, treating physicians give generic and unstructured lifestyle modification recommendations especially exercise. The description of the exercise frequency, intensity, time duration, type, volume and progression (FITT- VP principle) [5] are not provided. Probably due to high patient burden and busy clinics, time constraints, and insufficient doctor-patient ratio. To bridge this gap, the study we propose will investigate the feasibility and acceptability of a novel, structured, tailored, customized and personalized exercise program with help of an exercise prescription for Indians with CMDs using a mixed-methods study design.
