Effect of Computer assisted simulation teaching strategy versus traditional teaching method on knowledge perception and retention among 1st year medical (MBBS) and 1st year paramedical (BPT) students
Project Description
Background: This study compared the effectiveness of Computer-Assisted Learning (CAL) with lecture-demonstration in teaching Amphibian Physiology to first-year MBBS students. Methods: Two groups of 50 students each underwent CAL and lecture-demonstration in a crossover design over two practical sessions. Knowledge gained was assessed using a validated post-test and analyzed using SPSS. Results: Post-test scores were significantly higher in the CAL sessions. Slow learners showed marked improvement after CAL exposure.
