Schwannomas are benign, slow growing peripheral nerve sheath tumours derived from the Schwann cells. They may occur throughout the body. Schwannomas of the nose and paranasal sinuses, even though previously reported in literature, are rare entities.

We report a case of a 48-year-old female, who experienced 10 months of unilateral nasal obstruction, and rhinorrhoea. Imaging revealed a right sided sinonasal mass with displacement of septum to the left, with radiological and clinical picture that suggested a diagnostic possibility of benign sinonasal neoplasm. Subsequent surgical excision and report on frozen section revealed atypical mesenchymal tumour and histopathology confirmed the diagnosis as sinonasal schwannoma. She underwent surgical resection with no complications. There was prompt resolution of her symptoms with no recurrence on follow up. This case highlights the importance of considering sinonasal schwannoma as a differential diagnosis for benign tumours of the nasal cavity. The report also generates awareness of its varying clinical presentation and overlapping radiological and histological features with other sinonasal tumours.
