Abstract

Background and aims: Painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN) is a common complication of type 2 diabetes. The unrelenting pain associated with PDPN adversely affects a patient's quality of life. Recognizing the crucial role that sleep plays in the metabolic control of diabetes, this study aims to estimate the prevalence of sleep impairment in painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN) and identify the factors associated with it.
