COVID-19 pandemic and cancer care: The deadly duo (Letter to the Editor)
We congratulate Noronha et al.[1] for successful planning and conducting the study, “Deviation from standard cancer treatment during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India: A cross-sectional study” at short notice during the initial phase of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In the prospective study, nearly 16% of the patients who visited the hospital outpatient department (OPD) had modifications in cancer therapy during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. However, the true estimates could be as high as 68%.[1]
