Approach to Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Common Skin Conditions in Adolescents.
CAROL LOBO , ISHWARA BHAT Adolescence is a transitional phase of growth and development between childhood and adulthood. Sexually transmitted infections as well as cutaneous skin conditions are common among adolescents. These can be particularly distressing during the psychologically vulnerable period of adolescence, leading to considerable morbidity.
