A comparison of blood pressure reference values and the prevalence of high blood pressure in Indian adolescents aged 10–16 years using American and Indian reference standards.

This study compares the prevalence of high blood pressure among Indian adolescents using Indian and AAP-CPG 2017 reference standards and examines their association with cardiometabolic risk factors. Findings show that AAP-CPG identifies higher prevalence and stronger clustering with metabolic risk markers, highlighting the need for validated, nationally representative BP reference standards for Indian adolescents.
