Dr. Sanjukta S. Rao is a clinician and academic with over a decade of experience in clinical haematology, patient care, and teaching. She completed her MD in General Medicine at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, and joined St. John’s Medical College Hospital in 2012, where she has served as Senior Resident and now Assistant Professor.
Her clinical and research interests span bleeding disorders, aplastic anaemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and infectious complications in haematology. She has been actively involved as a co‑investigator in multiple international Phase III clinical trials on hemophilia (Fitusiran, Emicizumab, Concizumab), myelofibrosis, and candidiasis, and has contributed to national registries and quality‑of‑life studies in rare blood disorders.
Dr. Rao has published in peer‑reviewed journals including Indian Journal of Rheumatology, Annals of Indian Academy of Neurology, Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases, and has contributed to the API Textbook of Medicine. At St. John’s, she is deeply committed to mentoring postgraduate students, advancing clinical research, and improving outcomes for patients with complex haematological conditions.
