After completing MBBS from Fr. Muller Medical College Hospital, I gave my NEET entrance exam to secure an all-India rank of 194 among 1.5 lakh students appearing for the exam. This allowed me to opt for a free PG-training seat in the prestigious B.Y.L Nair Hospital and Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai. After completing 3 year PG course wherein a focused and precise training was given in pan-ophthalmology, I worked as a consultant in Municipal Eye Hospital in Mumbai to complete a year of bond. This was followed by a 1-year fellowship in Oculoplasty and Ocular oncology in Centre for Sight in Hyderabad under the aegis of Dr. Santosh Honavar and a 1-year fellowship in Ocular Oncology and research in Will's Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, USA. Following this, I worked as a consultant in Chaithanya Eye Hospital, Trivandrum for a year before shifting to Narayana Nethralaya in Bangalore. Here I worked for the next 7 years before joining St. John's Medical College Hospital in September 2025. During 12 years of my surgical services, I have done various complicated surgeries including cataract, orbital cases, eyelid and ocular malignancies.
