I joined St Johns medical college hospital in 2016 in the Department of Psychiatry. I trained at the Christian Medical College, Department of Psychiatry, Vellore.
I treat all adult Psychiatric disorders with special focus on women in reproductive age group, pregnant women, young mothers and high risk mothers referred from Department of Obstetrics and neonatology. I believe that women with psychological symptoms need individualized treatment. I have trained community health workers in maternity hospital in identification and management of pregnant women and young mothers with depression and anxiety symptoms. My areas of interest include women's mental health, medical education and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. I teach, train and assess undergraduate students and Postgraduate Psychiatry residents for a decade now.
